As Technical Director of ElectricIR™, Dr. Madding will provide training and technical support for all of the ElectricIR™ member contractors. He has been a practicing infrared thermographer since 1972 and is considered a pioneer within the infrared industry. In 1978, he started the first infrared thermography seminar at the University of Wisconsin extension and in addition he co-founded the Thermosense Conference in 1978.
Thermography has delivered training and expert advice regarding mold and microbe remediation, as well as infrared thermography and building science to thousands Nationally and Internationally. Scott Wood Associates, LLC a consulting and training professional company in the areas of building science has been involved in building forensics on single-story to multi-story high-rises as well as providing design solutions, considerations and testing for heat, air and moisture barriers for the building’s enclosure.
Mr. Hixson is the Technical Director for RoofScanIR. He is a roofing, wall systems & waterproofing expert. Mr. Hixson formed Hixson Consultants, Inc. (an applied technical resource consulting company) to provide expert roofing, architectural sheet metal, glazing, wall system, and waterproofing consulting services. He has over 33 years of experience in roof, wall, and waterproofing condition analysis, life-cycle cost analysis, budgeting, design specification writing, CAD detailing management, and component selection and systems which are designed to remedy building moisture problems.
As Steam Technical Director of ElectricIR™, Dean provides training and technical support for all of the ElectricIR Steam Technicians. Dean Trytten received his Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from North Carolina State University. He then earned his Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the Naval Post Graduate School in Monterey, CA.
Eric Stockton is the Director of Stockton Infrared’s ElectriSCAN and MechaniSCAN Divisions. CompuScanIR, a data center service infrared service. Eric is Vice-President of Stockton Infrared and has been an integral part of its success and growth. Eric received a BA in Zoology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 1982. He was an environmental consultant for Carolina Power and Light’s Shearon Harris Nuclear Power Plant for 14 years prior to joining Stockton Infrared in 1996.
John Finlayson is the President of Canopus456, LLC. John has been a consulting engineer working with Stockton Infrared since 2009, introducing advanced image capture and presentation technologies. John received a BS in Engineering from UCLA in 1969. He was an Engineering Duty Officer in the Navy, serving as the Electrical Division officer of an aircraft carrier. He worked in the ocean and offshore oil industries for 15 years before transitioning to space and aircraft industries. He has two patents for sub-sea oil production technology and has developed and patented technology for large scale graphics and backscatter x-ray technology.
Dr. Joanna L. Robson is a Licensed Veterinarian and owner of Inspiritus Equine, Inc., an integrative veterinary practice dedicated to the whole horse approach. Joanna is also co-owner of the Equine Technology Center in Salinas, CA. She lectures both nationally and internationally on recognizing the horse in pain, the uses of thermography in the equine industry, the anatomy of saddle-fitting, and understanding alternative medicine modalities.
As Ultrasound Technical Director of ElectricIR™, Rob provides training and technical support for all of the ElectricIR Ultrasound Technicians. Rob Miller is the Contracting Director for United Infrared Services. He provides technical support and business development by negotiating national contracts for United Infrared’s (UI) member’s network. He is responsible for managing the distribution of projects to the UI Network and being the liaison between UI’s network members and UI’s clients.
A leading expert in the chimney, fireplace, and venting industries, Jerry Isenhour brings his vast experience as a trainer and educator to the ChimneyScan training course. He is a recognized expert in the thermal dynamics of the venting system, and likely the most authoritative source in the science of chimney failure. He has authored numerous articles for trade publications and has produced several in-depth chimney and venting training programs. Serving as President of the National Chimney Sweep Guild and the Chimney Safety Institute of America, his industry leadership has spanned over six years. As educator, coach, and mentor, Jerry shares his comprehensive knowledge and training tools for your success.
Mr. Casey began his career as a plumbing, mechanical and general contractor in New England. He then brought this knowledge to the home and commercial inspection profession and has performed over 10,000 home and commercial inspections throughout the nation. Mike is a popular speaker at inspection-related conferences and expert regarding inspection-related claims matters for both plaintiffs and defendants and insurance companies as well as contractor claims. Home Inspector Standard of Care Expert and Mechanical and Plumbing Issue claims are a specialty for Mr. Casey. Mike has managed numerous international inspection-related conferences, including governmental approvals, hotel negotiation and managed the entire national home and commercial inspection training division while with Kaplan Professional. Mike is an IDECC Certified Distance Education Instructor.
Gregory R. Stockton, Level III Certified Infrared Thermographer and is the President of Stockton Infrared Thermographic Services, Inc.
Peter Hopkins, Level III Certified Infrared Thermographer and is a founding partner of United Infrared, Inc.
John is the Business Development Manager for United Infrared. He provides business development by negotiating national contracts for United Infrared’s (UI) network. He is responsible for bringing new projects to United Infrared’s Members but also spreading the awareness of Infrared applications in different industries.
Carol is the Office Manager for United Infrared’s regional office in California. Her job is to provide UI members and those interested in joining UI with general information regarding our online training courses, assisting with web store purchases, forwarding questions to our UI staff, and much more.
